Jim graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  He then returned to Hong Kong to start his career in real estate appraisal in 2005.  Jim later obtained a Master of Science in Real Estate from The University of Hong Kong in 2008 to broaden his technical appraisal knowledge and achieve the goal of being professionally qualified in the industry.  He became a Chartered Valuation Surveyor with The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in late 2010.

 
Before coming back to Vancouver to settle with his family in 2022, Jim has the experience of handling appraisals for a variety of properties and different purposes primarily throughout Hong Kong.  Aside from working as a fee appraiser, his background also includes working in a real estate development and the government in Hong Kong.  Jim joined Grover Elliott in April 2023 and recieved his AACI designation in April 2024.
